Smoked a final cigarette and left you where you lay Wiped the tears from off you cheek before I drove away Back towards reality, a world apart from you and me Gone but not forgetting what we had |
Crazy, crazy over you Crazy, crazy but it's true You picked me up, when I was down You turned my life, my world around Crazy, crazy, crazy over you |
Home again my secret safe, I guiltily deceive Caught within a web of lies so readily conceived The mirror shows a hypocrite, preaching love, (but full of shit) Maybe I will always be the same |
Crazy, crazy over you Crazy, crazy but it's true I've wanted you so very long To you I dedicate this song Because I'm crazy, crazy, crazy over you |
Maybe I should leave your life, I don't know if I could Never had a thing before, that ever felt this good In the dark a new man cries, born again with older eyes Seeing clearly what I want to do |
Crazy, crazy over you Crazy, crazy but it's true You picked me up, when I was down You turned my life, my world around And now I'm crazy, crazy, crazy over you I've wanted you so very long To you I dedicate this song Because I'm crazy, crazy, crazy over you From daybreak to sunset It always feels like we've just met Because I'm crazy, crazy, crazy over you ... |

The character in the song is playing the unfaithful lover. The darker side of life rearing up once again. The character finds solace in the another, who he feels brings him happiness as he once again feels he's in love. However, after every encounter he returns dutifully to his wife, who remains oblivious to all his flilanderings.
